The Philadelphia Eagles' run defense was exposed in Week 10 during their loss to the Washington Commanders. This unit is sorely missing defensive tackle Jordan Davis, who's currently on the injured reserve list with an ankle issue.

Ahead of Week 11, Philadelphia has signed a former Pro Bowler to give their run defense a boost.

DT Linval Joseph is joining the active roster on a one-year deal. He provides the Eagles an experienced and accomplished run specialist to hopefully help this team improve.

Josesph was a second-round by the New York Giants in 2010. He enjoyed a successful four-year run in New York, including starting 15 games for the Super Bowl-winning squad in 2011. The East Carolina product then spent six seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, earning Pro Bowl nods in both 2016 and 2017.

The veteran most recently suited up for the Los Angeles Chargers in 2021, starting 12 games. He's recorded 25.0 sacks, 56 tackles for loss and 75 QB hits over his 12-year career.

At 6-foot-4, 329 pounds, Joseph is a huge presence to add to this defensive front. He'll likely be featured right away, especially after fellow DT Marlon Tuipulotu was also placed on IR on Wednesday.
