Wide receiver Julio Jones wants out of the Atlanta Falcons organization and it just seems like a matter of time until his wish is granted. Don't count out the Philadelphia Eagles as a possible trade destination after one NFL insider recently linked the team to the All-Pro playmaker.

The Eagles are reportedly interested in acquiring Jones, according to Sports Illustrated's Ed Kracz. This makes a lot of sense given Philadelphia's struggles at the wide receiver position over the last few seasons and the team's multitude of first-round picks in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Eagles Rumors: Julio Jones Trade

The Falcons were apparently made an offer involving a first-round pick and the Eagles could have up to three of them next year. The final one simply comes down to whether or not quarterback Carson Wentz is able to play 75% of the snaps for the Colts in 2021. If so, Philadelphia acquires Indianapolis' first-rounder.

A top draft pick may seem like an expensive price to pay, but the Eagles would benefit from a major upgrade at wide receiver. Philadelphia's leading receiver last season only racked up 539 yards, while Jones posted 711 in just 9 games played.

In fact, the seven-time Pro Bowler has the highest average receiving yards per game in NFL history at 95.5. Jones is 32 years old, but still has a number of years left as a No. 1 WR given he had surpassed 1,350 receiving yards in each of his six seasons prior to 2020. He is as dominant as they come.

Yes, the Eagles would need to clear up some cap space and make some financial moves to get a deal done here. However, they are definitely in the mix for Jones and cannot be forgotten about. This'll be a storyline to keep up with all the way until Week 1 kicks off in September.
