Eagles News: Latest NFL Mock Draft From ProFootballFocus Projects Shocking First-Round Move

The Philadelphia Eagles are making progess on figuring out their starting quarterback situation. Former starter Carson Wentz seems headed for a trade, and Jalen Hurts is already taking on a new role with the team.
However, ProFootballFocus believes the Eagles' QB answer is in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft.

Eagles Mock Draft Projection
PFF is predicting that the Philly maneuvers its way up, via trade, to the No. 3 overall selection, using that pick to take Ohio State standout Justin Fields. It'd be a shocking move for the Eagles, who already have Hurts on the roster.
With the No. 6 pick, Philadelphia has a chance to pick an elite weapon to pair with Hurts. The Eagles have struggled to hit on wideout prospects in recent drafts, but someone like DeVonta Smith should give Hurts a WR1 that can help him succeed. Plus, there's free agents that Philadelphia can target to make sure the Hurts era doesn't flame out like Wentz's did.
However, there seems to be questions around the league about Hurts' ability to be a franchise QB. This isn't the first prediction regarding the Eagles taking a QB in the first round, so experts clearly don't have a consensus on Hurts as a starter.
Philly could try to maximize the roster around Hurts and see what they have, but if there's a QB prospect that intrigues them, don't be surprised if they move up in April.
