Eagles Hosting Polarizing NFL Draft Prospect for Visit on Wednesday

One of the biggest wild cards heading into the NFL Draft is the Philadelphia Eagles, who own a top-10 pick despite just appearing in the Super Bowl. Many around the league want to know how GM Howie Roseman and company will utilize this premium selection, especially since Philly's roster is already stacked with talent.

The Eagles' position as a top team on paper could motivate them to be bold at No. 10. And now they're set to host one polarizing prospect on Wednesday who would fit that bill.

Philadelphia is set to have a pre-draft visit with running back Bijan Robinson this week. The tantalizing RB prospect posted on Instagram that he was arriving in Philly before this meeting was confirmed, which sent fans into a frenzy of speculation.

There's no denying that Robinson is an elite, cream-of-the-crop running back prospect. He absolutely demolished opponents in college, recording a whopping 3,316 yards from scrimmage and 35 TDs in his last two seasons at Texas. That includes a monstrous 1,580 rushing yards and 19 touchdowns just in 2022, cementing himself as a top draft option.

However, Robinson's value is a hotly debated topic heading into April. RB isn't considered a premium position in today's pass-happy NFL, which has downgraded his appeal to some evaluators.

There is a case, though, where Robinson simply is the best player available when the Eagles are on the clock at No. 10. Roseman has proven to lean on the BPA strategy during his tenure, which means there's at least a chance the RB lands in Philadelphia.

The Eagles taking Robinson would certainly stir up plenty of conversation ahead of the 2023 season.
