The Philadelphia Eagles suffered just their second loss of the season in Week 16, and not coincidentally, the game was played without starting quarterback Jalen Hurts. Now, Philadelphia is dealing with another brutal late-season injury.

Four-time Pro Bowl right tackle Lane Johnson left Saturday's loss to the Dallas Cowboys early with an apparent injury. On Monday, the Eagles revealed the results of his MRI.

According to NFL insider Adam Schefter, Johnson suffered a torn tendon in his abdominal area. The team is "hopeful" he can return for the playoffs but he likely won't play for the remainder of the regular season.

Philadelphia was not able to wrap up the NFC's No. 1 seed in Week 16 with its loss. The Eagles only need to win one of their final two games to do so, so they'll try to bounce back with a win at home against the New Orleans Saints in Week 17. Philadelphia is currently listed as a 7-point home favorite on FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds for that NFC showdown.
