Drew Lock has only started five games in his career, but he looked pretty good in those five starts. While it's clear Denver thinks it has its starting quarterback of the future in Lock, many believed the Broncos had their starting running back of the future in Phillip Lindsey. That was, until they signed Melvin Gordon.

While the deal perplexed some at first, Lock is comparing his new running back duo to possibly the best duo in the history of sports, Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen.

"That's going to be a nasty one-two punch with him and Phil. Michael [Jordan] needed Scottie Pippen. We all need a little help here and there.”

While Lock's comparison is certainly the highest of praise, and what you would hope to hear from your starting QB, it still leaves them with lofty goals to live up to.

There's no question both Gordon and Lindsey have proven they can be great running backs in the NFL, but we will wait and see how they can coexist in the same backfield.
