The Los Angeles Dodgers have made their move. Now that the dust has settled from the flurry of transactions on Tuesday, the Dodgers have Mookie Betts, and the second-best odds to win the World Series in 2020, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

The enormity of the trade has already improved the Dodgers odds' to win it all. Coming off a 106-win season, they were already the third-most likely to win at +600 when the offseason started. Now they've improved to +430, just behind the New York Yankees at +375. Those odds translate to a move of about 4.6 percentage points, a huge swing for just one transaction.

However, the transaction is certainly worthy of such a shift. Betts and David Price are headed to the Dodgers, and it doesn't seem like they're giving up too much to the Boston Red Sox in return. A great defender who can hit for average and power, Betts has the tools to remain a superstar for years to come. While his future following free agency in 2020 is uncertain, he should still be a major upgrade for Los Angeles.

In a separate move, the Dodgers traded their surplus outfielders and starters, moving Joc Pederson and Ross Stripling to the Angels for utility infielder Luis Rengifo. Losing Pederson and Stripling, ostensibly to save costs, is not ideal, but the Dodgers had so much talent that it would've been hard to find them playing time.

After missing out on signing Anthony Rendon and losing Hyun-Jin Ryu to the Blue Jays, adding Price and Betts will almost certainly make the Dodgers a force to be reckoned with this season.

The Dodgers have now assembled arguably the best lineup in the National League. Opposing pitchers will be having nightmares as they face Betts, Max Muncy, Cody Bellinger, and Justin Turner.

With exciting young players like Gavin Lux and Dustin May poised to contribute, and plenty of assets to move for reinforcements during the season, the Dodgers are in a fantastic position to finally win their first World Series since 1988.
