DK Metcalf Shares Injury Update on Instagram

A nagging foot issue saw wide receiver DK Metcalf appear on the Seattle Seahawks injury report every week of the season dating back to early October. That didn't stop Metcalf from playing in all 17 games, but could easily point as a reason for his dip in production.

The Seahawks revealed Metcalf may need offseason surgery, and the one-time Pro Bowl wideout took to Instagram on Monday to share a brief injury update.

The post is simple, but shows a picture of Metcalf's foot in a walking boot. Without official confirmation, it appears that Metcalf did go through with the offseason surgery.

No timetable or official news has been released on Metcalf's injury, but it's a relief to see Metcalf handling his injury situation so early in the offseason.

The third-year wideout hauled in 75 catches for 967 yards and 12 touchdowns last season, a slight dip in his previous mark of 82 receptions and 1,303 yards.

Seattle struggled at 7-10 and missing the playoffs for the first time since 2017 this past season. There's a number of offseason decisions to be made, including the future of Russell Wilson. Regardless who is under center next year, the Seahawks will need a strong performance from Metcalf in year four.
