Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry continues to play out of his mind in the midst of what could easily become the best season of his young career so far. His monster performance in Week 12 (27 carries, 178 yards, 3 touchdowns) against the Indianapolis Colts has caused his NFL MVP odds to skyrocket.

Henry has jumped all the way up to being tied with quarterback Josh Allen for the fifth-best odds to win the award at +4000, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL MVP odds. The only players with higher odds are Patrick Mahomes (-400), Aaron Rodgers (+600), Russell Wilson (+750) and Ben Roethlisberger (+2000).

The fifth-year running back out of Alabama leads the NFL with 1,257 rushing yards on the season and is averaging a league-high 114.3 rushing yards per game. In fact, Henry has more rushing yards than 20 entire NFL teams do so far this season. Talk about carrying an offense.

Henry continues to find the endzone as well. His 12 rushing touchdowns ranks second in the league this season and he is quickly approaching his career high of 16 that he set just last year. The Titans are currently 8-3 and sit atop the AFC South division thanks in part to the consistently stellar play of their running back.

The oddsmakers have Henry as the top MVP option among players that are not starting quarterbacks and for good reason. Just imagine where the Titans would be without Henry posting 100-yard rushing games almost every week. He plays a pivotal role in the team's wins.

If he continues the pace he is on now, Henry can certainly give the top players a run for their money. They call him King Henry in Nashville, but maybe they'll call him MVP soon enough.
