Derek Carr Tweets Response to Darren Waller Trade Rumors

The NFL is bringing more high-profile trades than ever, and the Las Vegas Raiders were at the forefront when they traded for Davante Adams.
Now the Raiders and Green Bay Packers are back in the news, reportedly talking about a trade for Pro Bowl tight end Darren Waller. Derek Carr weighed in on Twitter to shut these rumors down, however.

Playing together for the last four seasons, Carr and Waller have built up some incredible chemistry. Injuries limited Waller to 11 games in 2021, but in 2020 Carr hit Waller for 107 receptions — the fourth most in the NFL.
It also makes sense that the Raiders wouldn't be all that interested in moving Waller. Trading for Adams was a clear signal that their plan is to go all-in on competing for a playoff spot in the hyper-competitive AFC West. Shipping off Waller would be a huge step back, leaving them basically in the same spot they were before bringing in Adams.
Even with an elite array of pass-catchers, the Raiders remain long shots in the 2022 Super Bowl odds on FanDuel Sportsbook, ranking No. 18 at +4000.
