Demaryius Thomas has been fairly consistent during his tenure with the New York Jets, averaging four receptions for 53.5 yards over the last four weeks. He has done so in less than ideal matchups, but things will get a lot easier in Week 9 as the Jets travel south to face the 0-7 Miami Dolphins.
Thomas is questionable with a hamstring issue, but fully expected to suit up against the Dolphins. While Miami has been primarily gashed on the ground this year, it still gives up the seventh-most fantasy points to wide receivers.
The Jets' offense may strike fear into fantasy owners' eyes, as quarterback Sam Darnold was seeing ghosts against the New England Patriots in Week 7 and has thrown a combined seven picks in his last two games. Still, the schedule is about to get really attractive for Gang Green, who face the Dolphins (twice), New York Giants, Washington Redskins, Oakland Raiders and Cincinnati Bengals in the next six weeks.
While Thomas has yet to find the end zone this year, his usage in the Jets' passing attack bodes well for a breakout game, which can come as early as this week. The Dolphins will be without top cornerback Xavien Howard for the rest of the season, and present several exploitable matchups for the entire Jets' passing game in Week 9.
