Despite singing Philip Rivers to be their new quarterback this season, DeForest Buckner was arguably the biggest acquisition of the Colts' offseason.

The Pro-Bowl defensive lineman was acquired to help lead the Colts defensive line in 2020. Recently, he had been nursing a hand injury that had kept him out of practice at training camp, but Saturday, he was back on the field.

Buckner's combined 19.5 sacks over the last two seasons should help improve a Colts defensive line that ranked just No. 16 in the NFL in that category last season. His 74 QB hits in just four seasons should also help disrupt opposing passers even when a sack doesn't happen, which in turn should help improve the Colts No. 26 ranking in opponents passer rating in 2019.

The Colts gave up a top Round 1 draft pick for Buckner to be a star for them, but the best ability will always be availability and Colts fans should be happy Buckner has that once again.
