DeAndre Hopkins Injury Update Boosts Christian Kirk, A.J. Green & Rondale Moore Rest-of-Season Fantasy Outlook

DeAndre Hopkins picked up a new injury in Week 14 after missing time due to hamstring issue earlier this year. Hopkins has officially been diagnosed with a knee sprain and is expected to miss the rest of the regular season.

This update on Hopkins gives a boost to fantasy outlook for Christian Kirk and A.J. Green in Week 15 and beyond.

Christian Kirk Fantasy Outlook

Kirk has a great chance to see his involvement propped up by Hopkins' absence.

In Weeks 9-11, when Hopkins was sidelined previously, Kirk averaged 6.3 targets, 5.0 receptions and 58.0 yards per game. That's clearly above the 5.1 targets and 3.8 receptions he averaged in 10 games with Hopkins in the lineup.

Kirk's deployment on offense has also varied in contests when Hopkins suits up, but Kirk played in 95%, 85% and 73% of the team's snaps during the latter's three-game absence. He could slot into a 1A/1B role with Green for the rest of the regular season on a Cards team that ranks No. 10 in passing yards per game.

A.J. Green Fantasy Outlook

Green may step into the de facto WR1 role with Hopkins out. He saw 12 targets in the two Hopkins-less games he's appeared in this year.

The veteran wideout took on a prominent role for Arizona on Monday night as well, which could be a sign of things to come. His 10 targets were only second to Hopkins (12), and Green paced the Cardinals' wide receivers with 7 receptions for 102 yards.

Green likely benefited from Arizona playing catch-up in that contest, which has been a rare occurrence for much of the season. But this team still faces tough tests against the Indianapolis Colts and Dallas Cowboys to end the year, which means the passing game should see plenty of use down the stretch.

Rondale Moore Fantasy Outlook

Don't sleep on Rondale Moore, either. His three games played without Hopkins from Week 9 to Week 11 included one game with over 80% of the Cards' offensive snaps played and another game with 11 targets.

Kirk, Green and Moore are all worth picking up at the very least, and they could instantly slot in as FLEX plays with the Detroit Lions on tap in Week 15.
