Wednesday's injury report may be the most important one during an NFL week and the Arizona Cardinals received some troubling news around a pair of stars, quarterback Kyler Murray and wideout DeAndre Hopkins.
DeAndre Hopkins Injury Update
Both Murray and Hopkins did not suit up for practice on Wednesday, immediately calling their Week 10 status' into question.
Hopkins continues to deal with a hamstring injury that saw him miss Week 9 action. Murray also missed Week 9 with his nagging ankle ailment.
A.J. Green Fantasy Outlook
A.J. Green was another Cardinals playmaker on the shelf in Week 9 after testing positive for COVID-19. It's still unclear if Green will be able to suit up this coming Sunday, but he's the best option to slot into Hopkins' WR1 spot if healthy.
Green ranks as Arizona's third-most targeted received (43) this season in 8 games. He's turned those 43 targets into 29 catches for 456 yards and 3 TDs. Green ranks as WR39 across PPR formats.
Hopkins accounts for 18% of Arizona's receiving targets and there's a ton of volume to go around if the superstar is unable to play.
Christian Kirk Fantasy Outlook
Christian Kirk also could have a potentially huge fantasy performance without Hopkins in the lineup. Kirk was the clear-cut No. 1 WR sans Hopkins and Green last week and he showed catching all 6 of his targets for 91 yards.
It's tough to get a definitive estimate because Arizona's offense features so many playmakers. Regardless, Green and Kirk will see a bump in production if the Cardinals are forced to play without Hopkins in Week 10.
