Daytona 500 Expert Picks

The Daytona 500 once again kicks off the NASCAR season today, on Sunday, Feb. 16 at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida.

This is always an unpredictable race, and the odds to win the Daytona 500, from FanDuel Sportsbook, include co-favorites in Denny Hamlin and Joey Logano, both at +1000. Kyle Busch (+1100), Brad Keselowski (+1300), Chase Elliott (+1300) and Kevin Harvick (+1300) are close behind, rounding out the top six. With that in mind, here are a few expert picks and predictions to win Sunday's Daytona 500 NASCAR race.

Daytona 500 NASCAR Predictions's Zack Albert and Pat DeCola picked a winner for every race this season. Making the pick for the first race of the year, Albert likes Brad Keselowski to win the Daytona 500.

Sports Illustrated
Frankie Taddeo of Sports Illustrated notes Martin Truex Jr., William Byron and Erik Jones as the sharpest betting values of the race. He also adds Chris Buescher as a long-shot pick

Tampa Bay Times
Matt Baker of the Tampa Bay Times is split between Brad Keselowski and Kyle Busch as his favorites to win the Daytona 500.

Overall, the highlighted experts are looking all over the field — which reflects how chaotic the Daytona 500 can be. The only driver to get mentioned twice as a potential winner by our experts is Brad Keselowski, who is available at +1300 on FanDuel Sportsbook.
