Arizona Cardinals running back David Johnson has been injured over recent weeks, missing some games and seeing limited snaps in others. However, he has been removed from the injury report completely, which is, in theory, a good sign for his Week 11 status versus the San Francisco 49ers.

Johnson was active despite his back injury in Week 7, but he played just three snaps in that game. He then sat until Week 10, when he was again active but played only 29 snaps, and it was clear that he wasn't healthy. He took five carries for two yards and added one catch for eight yards.

While fellow Arizona running back Kenyan Drake did not light the world on fire either, he at least saw a little success and a larger workload. Drake took 10 carries for 35 yards, adding six receiving yards on six catches.

Johnson's struggles running the football have lasted all season long, with him averaging 3.7 yards per carry and under 3.0 in his last three outings. His receiving ability kept him afloat in the fantasy landscape early in the season, but has also struggled in that area in this past two games, totaling just the one eight-yard catch.

It's hard to take the Cardinals' injury reports at face value after what we saw in Week 7 and Week 10, but being removed from the report entirely is at least a positive indicator.

Taking his status with a grain of salt, our Week 11 PPR fantasy football rankings have him at RB26 in a tough matchup with the Niners. Drake is just behind him at RB29, though he is likely to out-score Johnson if the injury is indeed more serious than the Cards are letting on.
