Davante Adams has undoubtedly become one of the league's best wideouts. A second-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, Adams' sudden rise to stardom took many by surprise – especially after an underwhelming first few seasons in the NFL.

However, one quick look at Adams' high school highlight tape proves he's always had big-time talent.

A two-way player at Palo Alto High School, Adams excelled as both a receiver and a cornerback and was even considered a two-star recruit in basketball.

He put together an excellent all-around senior season on the gridiron, racking up 64 receptions for 1,094 yards, 12 touchdowns, even tallying 44 tackles 2 forced fumbles and 1 interception on the other side of the ball.

Adams committed to Fresno State, where he red shirted as a true freshman. Once he saw the field, though, he never looked back. Through just two collegiate seasons, Adams racked up 233 receptions for 3,031 receiving yards and 38 touchdowns while catching passes from Derek Carr. Both would go on to be second-round picks in the 2014 NFL Draft.

At the NFL level, Adams was held under 500 receiving yards in each of his first two seasons, leading many to believe he would be a bust. He proved his doubters wrong by year three, though, putting together a 997-yard, 12-TD campaign in 2016.

A three-time Pro Bowler who racked up 1,386 yards and 13 TDs in 2018, Adams has established himself as one of the best wideouts in the league. Green Bay Packers fans have to be excited about the future of the passing game with Adams leading the way.
