Garland started and played 31.9 minutes in the Cavs' season opener on Friday. He was the focal point of their offense, leading the team in both field goal attempts (15) and assists (12), recording a 23.0% usage rate.
With Garland out on Friday, Ricky Rubio moved into the starting lineup, playing 28.1 minutes, notching 10 assists and 12 field goal attempts.
Collin Sexton's offense role also exploded, recording 21 field goal attempts and seeing his usage rate jump to 32.9%
