The entire NFL community rallied around Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin after his scary on-field incident this season. Now that he's on the road to recovery, some are wondering if Hamlin will be able to play again.

On Wednesday, NFLPA medical director Thom Mayer told reporters, "I guarantee you that Damar Hamlin will play professional football again." The NFL world promptly responded to this huge news on Twitter.

A tons of fans are astonished and thankful Hamlin will be able to consider playing football again, if he chooses to following his recovery. He is already making strides since his injury in early January, like attending a Super Bowl event Wednesday evening to accept his NFLPA award for community action.

Hamlin has a long journey ahead of him, but his ability to return to some normal day-to-day activities is a great sign regarding his comeback. Bills fans will surely be watching his progress this offseason in the hopes he's ready for the 2023 campaign.
