The Minnesota Vikings' offense will look a bit different in 2022 with new head coach Kevin O'Connell taking over. The offensive guru is expected to use the team's stars in more unique ways than the previous regime in order to unlock this roster's true potential.
Reports from OTAs indicate Vikings running back Dalvin Cook could be used in a new role this year, and his most recent tweet doubles down on that idea.
Dalvin Cook Wide Receiver
Cook sent a message without even adding a caption to his post. He simply tweeted out a video of him running a picture-perfect route out of the backfield to beat the Steelers' defense in Week 14 of this past season.
Making that play even more impressive was the fact Cook also racked up 205 rushing yards that same day, and he still had enough juice left in the tank to get open for a catch in traffic late in the game.
It's clear Cook is all-in on the idea of him expanding his role as a pass-catcher for quarterback Kirk Cousins. The three-time Pro Bowler has seen his receptions slip in each of the past three seasons while he carries the rushing load, but becoming an even stronger dual threat would make Minnesota's air attack even more deadly.
The thought of Cook lining up alongside Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen in 2022 should strike fear into opposing defenses.
