One of the constant storylines throughout the NFL offseason has been the future of tight end Zach Ertz with the Philadelphia Eagles. The former No. 1 tight end option in Philly has seen his role decrease and already formally requested a trade.
With that in mind, there's a lot of new hype surrounding the potential fantasy outlook of Philadelphia's new No. 1 tight end, Dallas Goedert.
Recently, The Athletic called Goedert their pick for the best Eagles 2021 breakout candidate.
Dallas Goedert Fantasy Outlook
Goedert emerged as a No. 1 caliber tight end during his third season with the Eagles in 2020. In fact, the third-year tight end racked up the second-most receptions (46) and receivng yards (524) amongst all Eagles pass-catchers last season.
Not to mention, The Athletic has reported Goedert is likely to be a featured member under new coach Nick Sirianni’s offense. The numbers should back this up, considering the 26-year-old Goedert ranks top-15 in receiving yards by tight ends since the 2018 season, his rookie year.
The fantasy experts are already hopping on the Goedert train for the 2021 fantasy football season. According to FantasyPros' Average Draft Position (ADP) data, Goedert ranks seventh at the position. It wouldn't be shocking to see Goedert take another big step forward in 2021, making him an intriguing fantasy value at his current ADP.
