D.K. Metcalf Takes Responsibility for On-Field Slip Ups

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver D.K. Metcalf was ejected from last Sunday's game after an altercation with several Green Bay Packers players. The almost 24-year-old wideout clearly was frustrated after a challenging game and took out his frustration in a poor way.
It wasn't the first time Metcalf has acted out, but he's promised to be better.

Metcalf admitted he's had three outbursts this season, and each time has resulted in a talk with head coach Pete Carroll. He knows that if he wants to cement himself as a leader, he'll need to cut out these kinds of incidents.
"I'm a passionate player and I'm never going to back down from anything. He understands that, but at the same time, I'm starting to become a leader on this team, and I've got to grow up and continue to get better. I know that I'm still a work in progress"

It's impressive to see Metcalf not only take responsibility for his actions, but recognize the problem and vow to improve as well. That commitment to avoid any slip-ups that could cost the team shows his maturity.
Keeping Metcalf on the field and away from any ejections is important for this offense. The third-year wideout is second on the team in receptions (42) and targets (64), and he's first in yards (606).
Seattle will need Metcalf to step up heading into a Week 11 clash with the Arizona Cardinals. Arizona is a 1.5-point favorite in that matchup, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
