While some NFL players have been showcasing their creative side in new and unique ways this offseason, athletes releasing rap songs and albums certainly isn't new or unique. Although, those songs being good could definitely be considered unique.

For every good athlete rapper like Dame Dolla, there's 10 that fall flat like Shaquille O'Neal, Jason Kidd and countless others. Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf's debut seems to fall somewhere in the middle, but he definitely shouldn't be written off.

While he could stand to improve from a lyrical and flow standpoint, he lays down a surprisingly impressive verse, at least compared to what fans have come to expect.

While it's definitely not perfect, it's clear the foundation is there. It would be great to see what he can do on the follow up. The song is available on all major streaming platforms, and you can find it via the link in Metcalf's Instagram bio.

As for when we will get that next song, who knows? It might be time for Metcalf to focus on football for a few months and check back in on his side career after the season.
