The National League Central division race is going to keep MLB fans glued to their seats this summer. Three teams sit within 5.5 games back of the division-leading St. Louis Cardinals, including the second-place Chicago Cubs.

Chicago capped off an important series win on Sunday night, defeating the Cardinals 2-1, and now trail by just 2.0 games with a 24-22 overall record. Craig Kimbrel closed out the 10-inning affair with 1.1 innings of work and 2 strikeouts. The final strikeout to win the game was simply awesome.

With that infamous wing-like arm hang, Kimbrel delivered the final pitch (his second strikeout) and yelled "Got Him" seemingly before the ball hit the catcher's glove.

His confidence is brewing and rightfully so, as Kimbrel has all the makings of a true comeback season in 2021. He's saved 9 ballgames in 19.0 innings of work while striking out 32 batters. His ERA is down to 0.95 and his WHIP sits at 0.842. This is a welcome sign for Cubs fans after Kimbrel recorded a 5.28 ERA in 2020 and 6.53 mark in 2019.

Currently, the Cubs own +700 odds to win the NL Central, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. Regardless of the odds, this team is 7-3 in their last 10 games and looking to compete for a division title.
