The Dallas Cowboys seem determined to have a bounce-back season in 2021. Injuries and a poor defense plagued them last year, but they've used the offseason to make progress in both of those areas.

With injury torubles behind them, quarterback Dak Prescott has set the bar for the 2021 campaign.

Prescott is promising "special" things for the Cowboys and their fans this season. It's great to hear Dallas' leader take charge and set lofty expectations rather than have a timid approach to his return to the field.

"Take those first five games and just say we're going to be better than that as a team. We're going to play more complementary football from defense to offense to special teams, and then we're going to have a healthy team."

The QB has confidence that Dallas will look better than they did in the first five games of 2020. The Cowboys went just 2-3 in those contests, though Prescott was off to a fiery start. If he can replicate that level of play out of the gate, and the team's improvements on defense showcase themselves early, Dallas may be a serious problem for the rest of the league.

The Cowboys currently have +2800 odds to win the Super Bowl, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
