Even though former Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson has since moved on in his NFL career as a current member of the Chicago Bears, his time in Minnesota is fondly remembered by Vikings' faithful.

In fact, that tenure with the Vikes is clearly a two-way street with the way Patterson reflects on his time with the organization, perhaps, best displayed by a powerful tribute to renowned Minneapolis Star Tribune sports journalist, Sid Hartman, after he passed away earlier this week.

In a wonderfully-touching tribute to Hartman on his Twitter account, Patterson makes a tasteful nod to how the then-90-plus-year-old Hartman was the only man with the determination and speed to actually run him down, as Patterson was a known speedster as the Vikings' kick returner as well.

Patterson has now played for three teams since his four season with the Vikings from 2013-16, but clearly Hartman had quite the lasting impact on him during his early NFL career days in Minneapolis.
