After only appearing as a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Washington Commanders running back Antonio Gibson was downgraded to out for Thursday's session. The third-year pro is dealing with a foot injury.

Offensive coordinator Scott Turner explained more details about Gibson's status ahead of Week 13 kickoff.

Turner gave the situation a hint of positivity. He said the Commanders have "a plan for [Antonio Gibson] to get him ready. As we go, I think he'll be all right."

Getting downgraded during a week of practices is never a good sign for a player's game status. But, if we take Turner as his word, it sounds like Gibson still has a good chance of playing on Sunday.

The Commanders are set for an NFC East battle with the New York Giants. FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds show the Commanders as 2.5-point road favorites for the 1 p.m. ET kickoff.
