Whether you like Carson Wentz or not, things have not been made easy for him in Washington.
Thomas had 13 receptions and 106 yards on 20 targets through his first four games, and Dotson had turned 22 targets into 12 receptions, 152 yards and 4 touchdowns. Those two accounted for 24.4% of Wentz' targets, 25.0% of his yards and 62.5% of his touchdowns through those four games.
All hope is not lost, however. Wentz still managed to sling it for 359 yards and 2 touchdowns in a Week 5 loss, with sophomore Dyami Brown (105 yards) and Curtis Samuel (6 receptions, 62 yards) helping pick up the slack. Look for both of them to figure heavily into the gameplan again on Thursday.
With the depleted offense still showing plenty of fight, the Commanders are just 1-point underdogs (per FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds) despite playing on the road in Chicago.
