In his first year with the Buffalo Bills, Cole Beasley has provided steady fantasy production in PPR leagues, with 27 receptions for 267 yards through his first five games. He has yet to exceed 100 yards or find the end zone, however, but all of that can change in Week 7 with a dream matchup at home against the Miami Dolphins.
Beasley will be going up against a Dolphins defense allowing the eighth most fantasy points to wide receivers this season. He the indisputable No. 2 WR in the Bills offense, behind John Brown, especially after the team traded Zay Jones away to the Oakland Raiders. Additionally, Beasley leads the Bills with 40 targets, one more than Brown.
While Brown is usually the preferred play in the Bills' receiving attack, he is currently battling a groin injury, although he is fully expected to suit up for Week 7. Brown may be matched up with Dolphins top corner Xavien Howard, who is battling a knee injury of his own, but has a chance to play.
If Brown is limited this week, Beasley could stand to benefit along with Duke Williams, who scored his first NFL touchdown in Week 5 before the Bills' bye week. Just note, the Dolphins can be beaten in many ways, especially on the ground as they give up the most fantasy points to opposing running backs. Beasley has potential for a big game, but can also put up a dud if he is not needed much in a likely blowout.
Nonetheless, the matchup is great for Beasley, who should be started with confidence in PPR leagues as a WR3/FLEX.
