The Minnesota Vikings have become known for having one of the best wide receiver duos in the NFL with Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen. Third-year pro K.J. Osborn is reportedly doing everything he can to make that duo a powerful trio and is emerging as a clear standout during training camp.

Osborn is making a strong case to lock down the Vikings' No. 3 spot and holding off competitors like Bisi Johnson and Ihmir Smith-Marsette. A main reason why is the versatility he has been displaying during practice. Osborn could become a valuable player in new head coach Kevin O'Connell's system.
It's a system that regularly relies on three-receiver sets. Osborn has been working primarily as the slot option and caught a pair of touchdowns in Monday's padded practice. Quarterback Kirk Cousins was quick to say they were "big-time plays" and continues to lobby for more playing time for Osborn.
Aside from catching the football, Osborn has been excelling at blocking. The 2020 fifth-round pick has been taking advantage of his size (5-foot-11, 203 pounds) to push defenders back when Dalvin Cook has the ball. That's going to come in handy for an offense that wants to establish the run.
"A big, strong guy who is very smart and knows all the positions. He can move around, he can do some of the dirty work in the run game"- OC Wes Phillips on K.J. Osborn
The 25-year-old will be aiming to make a bigger impact after hauling in 50 of his 82 targets for 655 yards and 7 touchdowns in 2021. Osborn also averaged a reliable 13.1 yards per catch. For now, Minnesota has odds set at +4000 to win Super Bowl 57, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
