Super Wild Card Weekend couldn't have gone better for the Cincinnati Bengals. A 26-19 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders gave the city of Cincinnati its first NFL Playoff victory in 31 years and it wouldn't be shocking if fans are still celebrating to this day.
The Bengals themselves were even celebrating around the city after the game. The result? A hilarious story about head coach Zac Taylor that TE C.J. Uzomah shared on Good Morning Football on Thursday.
After the Wild Card victory, Taylor said that he was going to give the game ball to the entire city of Cincinnati. So, he and the team went to the Mt. Lookout Tavern to give it to some fans right after the game. Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned at first.
Uzomah said that Taylor was carded when they arrived at the tavern. He later joked that "the game was too big for the bouncer." He was eventually allowed in after showing his I.D. and made sure it was a night to remember for those who were there.
Taylor promised that this is the first of many wins to come, so only time will tell if he can make good on his word.
Hopefully, Taylor isn't carded at the next celebration if the Bengals find a way to upset the Titans.
