Why didn't Tom Brady end up with the Las Vegas Raiders after leaving the New England Patriots? Former NFL quarterback Chris Simms thinks that Jon Gruden had something to do with it.

While UFC president Dana White claims he had a plan to bring Brady and Rob Gronkowski to the Raiders during the 2020 NFL offseason, Gruden apparently put the brakes on the deal as the team's head coach at the time.

Why didn't Gruden want to coach the GOAT? According to Simms, Gruden didn't want to "deal with the pressure" of Brady, whose presence would've raised expectations around the team and diminished some of Gruden's power.

Gruden's hesitation ultimately backfired, as Brady and Gronkowski immediately led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a Super Bowl. Gruden made a lot of mistakes during his Raiders tenure, but passing on Brady might be his biggest misstep on the field.
