Chris Paul has been consistently great as a floor general for over a decade, and he's showing no signs of slowing down any time soon. Paul will suit up for a new team, the Phoenix Suns, during the 2020-21 NBA season after being traded, and there's no reason to believe the 35-year-old won't be one of the best fantasy basketball point guards once again.

Chris Paul Fantasy Basketball Outlook

Paul had success in his one-season stop with the Oklahoma City Thunder. The point guard averaged 17.6 points, 6.7 assists and 5.0 rebounds per game with the Thunder, earning All-Star and All-NBA Second Team honors. Paul's 6.7 APG were the lowest of his career, but he also didn't have a star scoring option on the Thunder to feed. Additionally, OKC had two talented guards in Dennis Schroder and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to compete with for the ball on offense.

On the Suns, Paul will have an elite scorer in Devin Booker (26.6 PPG) to find for open looks. Rising big man Deandre Ayton (18.2 PPG) should also feast in the pick-and-roll with Paul, giving the point guard an intimidating lob threat he hasn't had since Deandre Jordan. With serviceable, but not threatening PGs behind him on the depth chart, Paul is line for a more involved role on offense, which bodes well for his fantasy production.

Health was key for Paul in 2019-20. He played in 70 games for the first time since the 2015-16 season, and it showed in his fantasy scoring. The veteran put up 2,441.8 fantasy points last year, good for sixth among points guards and 23rd in the league overall.

With less guard competition and some high-scoring options around him, Paul should thrive with Phoenix. He is one of the most dependable fantasy options at PG and should continue to stuff the stat sheet with the Suns.
