Celtics vs Warriors NBA Finals Ticket Prices Are Insane
The basketball world is buzzing because the 2021-22 NBA Finals are set to begin on Thursday. It's an exciting matchup between two star-studded teams in the Boston Celtics and Golden State Warriors, which is why it isn't a shock that ticket prices are absolutely insane.
Celtics vs Warriors NBA Finals Ticket Prices
The San Francisco Chronicle's Sam Whiting reported on Wednesday that the average resale price of Game 1 tickets at the Chase Center is $3,526 — more expensive than any of the Warriors' last five NBA Finals runs. Once-in-a-lifetime experiences are priceless, but that's a lot of money to spend on a game.
According to TicketSmarter, the cheapest available Game 1 ticket (as of 2:20 p.m. ET on Thursday) is $634 to sit in Section 210, Row 19. Meanwhile, the most expensive tickets are in the VIP section for just over $12,000. Yes, you read that correctly — $12,000.
Celtics fans should also expect to be charged a pretty penny if they hope to attend Game 3 at TD Garden. The cheapest ticket is apparently $803 to sit in the Section 308 balcony, while high rollers can shell out up to $9,172 to sit in Boston's VIP section.
The Celtics vs. Warriors NBA Finals series is shaping up to be one of the most exciting ones in recent years, so hopefully the entertainment can live up to the price of admission.
