Celtics vs Heat Game Info

2022 NBA Summer League Game
Boston Celtics (0-0) vs. Miami Heat (0-0)
Date: Saturday, July 9, 2022
Time: 5:30 p.m. ET
Venue: Cox Pavilion — Las Vegas, NV
Coverage: ESPN3

The Boston Celtics and Miami Heat both kick off their Las Vegas Summer League action on Saturday. Celtics fans are excited to see their team's young players in action, including 2022 second-round pick JD Davison. He has a long way to go before he's an everyday NBA player, but Davison showed promise in his lone season at Alabama, averaging 8.5 points on .463/.301/.728 splits while averaging 25.8 minutes played.

The Heat, meanwhile, will get to see if Nikola Jovic can build off his strong performance against the Golden State Warriors in the California Classic on Tuesday. The 27th overall pick in this year's draft had 25 points in 28 minutes of action, which included going 5-of-7 from three-point range.

Celtics vs Heat Odds & Spread

All NBA betting lines, odds and prop bets are available on FanDuel Sportsbook.
Moneyline: BOS: (-104) | MIA: (-118)
Spread: BOS: +1.5 (-114) | MIA: -1.5 (-106)
Total: 164.5 — Over: (-110) | Under: (-110)
Odds to Win Summer League Championship: BOS: (+4000) | MIA: (+2500)

Miami enters this contest as a slight favorite on the moneyline and spread. This 5:30 p.m. ET clash also features the lowest total of Saturday's eight-game slate.

Celtics vs Heat Prediction & Pick

Jovic showed just how dominant he can be in the California portion of the Summer League and I expect that to continue in Las Vegas. The Heat don't exactly have the tools to stop him, especially with his ability to create space all around the court. It'll be a close game, but Jovic could end up being the deciding factor.

Even though the Heat are the favorites, I'm going with the Celtics to pull off a narrow upset win, taking them at -104 on the moneyline.
