The first round of the 2019 NFL Draft featured plenty of surprises. For example, Daniel Jones likely wasn't the Duke product most New York sports fans were hoping to take in the first round this year.
Since players like Jones, Tytus Howard and Kaleb McGary went far earlier than expected, a lot of talented prospects are available in the second round. With that in mind, let's break down the odds for the first player drafted in Round 2 of the 2019 NFL Draft.
#1 pick in Round 2 of the NFL Draft:
— FanDuel Sportsbook (@FDSportsbook) April 26, 2019
Byron Murphy +200
Jawaan Taylor +450
Cody Ford +600
Drew Lock +800
AJ Brown +900
Greedy Williams +900
DK Metcalf +1200
Deebo Samual +1200
Hakeem Butler +1400

As things currently stand, Byron Murphy is the favorite to be the first pick off the board (+200). The Arizona Cardinals might need another cornerback with the recent trade rumors surrounding Patrick Peterson, so Murphy makes sense.
That need could also help Greedy Williams, who is +900 to be the first player taken. Williams was also favored to be the first cornerback off the board, so it's interesting he's still available.
Jawaan Taylor (+450) was considered to be a consensus first-round talent before concern about a knee injury seemingly derailed his stock on Thursday. Assuming teams aren't scared off by the knee, Taylor could be an interesting bet as well.

Additionally, Drew Lock (+800) is one of the most talented pure passers in this year's class, and it wouldn't be a surprise if a quarterback-needy team, like the Denver Broncos, traded up for the Missouri product.
The first round of the 2019 NFL Draft was extremely unpredictable, and fans could be in for more of the same in the second round.
