The 2022 NFL Draft featured a total of 262 prospects being selected by teams across the league and a number of undrafted free agents signed deals afterwards as well. The entire process acted a jolt for NFL fans as anticipation for the season is starting to rise ahead of the schedule release on May 12.

Keep in mind fans already know the opponents their favorite team will play in 2022, just not specific dates or order. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will look to earn their third consecutive NFC South title in 2022, but it may not be as easy as it has in the past given the opponents set in front of them.

Buccaneers Schedule 2022

Sports Illustrated's Zach Koons put together a strength of schedule metric based on the known opponents and their 2021 regular-season records. Buccaneers fans can't be too happy that Tampa Bay ranks with the third-hardest schedule in the NFC and fourth-hardest schedule overall.

Tampa Bay still has to play the New Orleans Saints twice a year, which is a team they have posted a 1-3 record against with quarterback Tom Brady at the helm. The good news is that the Buccaneers showed some dominance by sweeping both the Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers last season.

Head coach Todd Bowles' team will also take on opponents in the AFC North and NFC West. Those divisions feature four teams that posted 10 or more wins in 2021, including the Super Bowl Champion Los Angeles Rams. Matchups with the Kansas City Chiefs and Green Bay Packers will certainly test the Bucs' strengths, too.

Tampa Bay has proven that they can win games no matter the circumstance with the talent currently on the roster, though. Oddsmakers seems to know that as they give the Buccaneers +750 odds to win Super Bowl 57, according to FanDuel Sportsook. Those chances rank second in the NFL.
