The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are primed to make another Super Bowl run in 2021 with Tom Brady and his entire supporting cast returning. This team remains one of the favorites to take home the title and Tampa Bay's favorable schedule certainly points in that direction.
According to ESPN's Mike Clay, the Buccaneers own the easiest schedule in the entire league for 2021.
It should be noted that the order of games will not be officially set until Wednesday night, but based on the current construction of the league's yearly schedule, the opponents Tampa Bay will face are already known.
Buccaneers Schedule 2021
Clay used known opponents and the current construction of league rosters to come up with his strength of schedule projection. Although this projection is based on a random order of games, all of Tampa Bay's opponents are set in stone. Only seven of these opponents made last year's playoff field.
Tampa Bay had one of the most complete teams in the league last season with a top-seven ranking in terms of yards gained on offense and yards allowed on defense. The offense averaged 384.1 yards per game including 4,500+ yards through the air from Brady.
On defense, linebacker Devin White led the team with 140 tackles (97 solo) including nine sacks and 18 tackles for loss. White and most of Tampa Bay's defensive starters are returning for the 2021 campaign.
As it stands, FanDuel Sportsbook is giving the Buccaneers +650 odds to win the Super Bowl and repeat as champs. That ranks Tampa Bay as the second-favorites, behind only the Kansas City Chiefs, and Buccaneers fans may be drooling over this strength of schedule projection.
