The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have struggled to string together wins throughout the 2022 campaign and enter Week 7 at just 3-3 on the year. Injuries have been a sticking point since Week 1, especially for the team's ravaged receiving corps.
Unfortunately, the Buccaneers will remain without a number of key playmakers on Sunday.
Head coach Todd Bowles reported Friday that he's officially ruled out four players for this NFC South divisional game with the Carolina Panthers. That includes defensive lineman Akiem Hicks, cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting, wide receiver Julio Jones and tight end Cameron Brate.
Hicks continues to deal with a foot injury that has limited him to just two games this season, while Jones has made only two starts with his new team because of a knee issue. It's no surprise to see Brate ruled out after his scary neck injury in Week 6, and Murphy-Bunting's quad issue will leave the secondary a bit shorthanded.
Fortunately, the Buccaneers should still be able to get back in the win column, even with a lack of depth at multiple positions. They enter this Week 7 clash as heavy 13-point road favorites against the depleted Panthers, per FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds.
