The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have struggled to field a fully healthy team this season and it doesn't look like that'll change in Week 5. The team received some mixed news on injury updates to a couple of key players.

On the bright side, defensive playmakers Jamel Dean and Jason Pierre-Paul are good to go and will suit up on Sunday. However, safety Antoine Winfield Jr., tight end Rob Gronkowski and defensive end Pat O'Connor will all be forced to stay on the sidelines with various injuries.

Buccaneers Injury Report

Having Pierre-Paul back on the defensive line should help the Buccaneers get more pressure in the opposing backfield. The 12th-year pro has missed the team's last two games and will look to build off of the 9.5-sack total he posted during the 2020 season.

Dean left early on in the Buccaneer's Week 3 loss to the Los Angeles Rams with a knee injury and his return will be welcomed by a shallow secondary. He has a shot to start on Sunday after racking up 13 tackles and 1 pass breakup during the first two weeks.

Speaking of the secondary, Winfield Jr. remains in concussion protocol and his absence is a big one. The second-year pro played in 100% of the defensive snaps through the first three weeks of the season and picked off Mac Jones for his second career interception in Week 4.

Look for Cameron Brate and OJ Howard to split snaps at tight end with Gronkowski missing another week of action due to a rib injury. The veteran pass-catcher scored 4 touchdowns in the first two games, but has been adamant that he will not return to the field until he feels 100% healthy.

Tampa Bay is slated as a heavy 9.5-point favorite against the Miami Dolphins in Week 5, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
