Buccaneers star wide receiver Mike Evans exited their Week 15 loss to the New Orleans Saints with a hamstring injury. And while the outlook is never great when someone can't return to the game because of injury, the severity of Evans' was unknown.

Mike Evans Injury Update

We now know that Evans will be sidelined for at least this week, and potentially longer. Head coach Bruce Arians announced that Evans would be out in Week 16 when the Bucs head to Carolina to go up against the Panthers.

Evans has had a great 2021 season so far with 64 catches, 899 yards and 11 touchdowns, well on pace for his eighth consecutive season of over 1,000 receiving yards. That streak is now in serious jeopardy, especially if Evans can't suit up next week either.

Tampa's receiving core will be very depleted this week, with Chris Godwin done for the season with a torn ACL and Breshad Perriman also out.

Despite all of this, The Buccaneers remain a 10-point road favorite in Week 16, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's latest NFL odds.
