Bruce Arians Takes Shot at Dwayne Haskins for No Reason
By Max Staley
Bruce Arians might be the biggest trash-talking head coach in the NFL. Well, he's probably the league's only trash-talking head coach.
But Arians has really out done himself this week. We've already seen him respond to comments from Washington Football Team superstar Chase Young, and just days ahead of their Wild Card matchup, Arians has taken another shot at the organization. This time, he had recently released QB Dwayne Haskins in his crosshairs.
To be fair, this is more of a backhanded compliment than a direct shot. And he does have a point. Washington is 5-1 across Alex Smith's six starts in 2020 and 2-8 in games started by anyone else. To his point, Washington is clearly a different team when Smith is leading the offense.
Still, there were a lot of ways Arians could've gotten that point across without directly name-checking Haskins, who isn't even in the league any more.
Never change, Bruce.
