The Cleveland Browns have yet to learn whether or not quarterback Deshaun Watson will have to serve a suspension in the 2022 NFL season. This has caused the front office to take some precautionary measures, including working out a few veteran QBs before the start of training camp.

The Browns will take a look at A.J. McCarron and Josh Rosen among others as all signs point to one of them being signed. Cleveland wants to enter training camp with four quarterbacks and the trade of Baker Mayfield leaves Jacoby Brissett and Joshua Dobbs as the only other QBs on the roster outside of Watson.
McCarron has appeared in 17 NFL games with the Cincinnati Bengals, Las Vegas Raiders and Houston Texans. However, he has only started four of those contests. The 31-year-old owns a 2-2 record to go along with a 62.6% completion percentage and a 6:3 touchdown to interception ratio.
Rosen has a bit more experience, starting 16 games over the course of three seasons with the Arizona Cardinals, Miami Dolphins and Atlanta Falcons. He has only earned the victory in three of those contests, though, and has tossed 21 interceptions compared to only 12 touchdowns.
For now, the Browns can't be too picky about their QB3/4. Training camp is set to get underway in Cleveland when rookies report on Friday, July 22. Head coach Kevin Stefanski's team enters the fall with odds set at +2800 to win the franchise's first Super Bowl title, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
