It's been a tough season so far for the Cleveland Browns, who recently endured a four-game losing streak and find themselves at 3-5 heading into Week 9.
There's a bright spot on the horizon, however, as quarterback Deshaun Watson remains on track to return to the team in Week 13.
Deshaun Watson Update
Watson, who is currently serving an 11-game suspension for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy, is still expected to return when eligible in Week 13, according to Browns general manager Andrew Berry. Coincidentally, Watson will face his former team -- the Houston Texans -- in his first game back on Dec. 4.
The three-time Pro Bowler has been practicing at the team's facility since Oct. 10. He is still not eligible to attend team games, practices or group workouts, but he'll be able to resume practicing with Cleveland on Nov. 14.
The Browns are desperately trying to stay in the playoff hunt until Watson returns. Backup QB Jacoby Brissett has proven to be a mixed bag in his absence, forcing head coach Kevin Stefanski to lean on running backs Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt to carry the offense.
Depending on how the next month plays out, Watson's return may be too little, too late for Cleveland. The Browns currently have +430 odds of making the postseason on FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds.
