Browns Odds to Make Playoffs Have Cleveland Missing Postseason in 2020

The Browns are coming off a disastrous campaign in 2020, but after yet another winning offseason, there is once again optimism in Cleveland. The team added a stud right tackle in Jack Conklin and a top-tier pass catcher in Austin Hooper.

Despite those additions, though, Cleveland still appears more likely to miss the postseason (-148) than to make it (+122), according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

That gives the team the third-best odds to make the postseason in the division, trailing the Baltimore Ravens (-550) and the Pittsburgh Steelers (-160). The odds to win the AFC North tell a similar story, as the Browns also have the third-best odds to win the division.
Even if Cleveland has a tough road ahead, the additions the team made could really go a long way. The Browns had a league-average offensive line last season, and adding Conklin, who had the eighth-best pass block win rate in 2019, could help this passing game improve quickly.
These odds will surely continue to shift as the offseason progresses, but according to the odds, the Browns could be on the outside looking in for the second year in a row.
