Browns vs Jets Odds Make Big Move With Sam Darnold Ruled Out for Week 2 on Monday Night Football
By Paul Shapiro

Nothing seems to be going right for the New York Jets to start the 2019 NFL season. After taking a commanding 16-0 lead over the Buffalo Bills midway through the third quarter in Week 1, the Jets crumbled, ultimately losing, 17-16, to their division rival.
Now, just days later, they've lost their starting QB, Sam Darnold, due to a case of mononucleosis. And losing Darnold has shifted the point spread from 2.5 points to six, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

Jets Backup QB
This leaves the Jets to start backup QB Trevor Siemian against the Cleveland Browns on "Monday Night Football." The veteran out of Northwestern has a 13-11 career record as a starter, to go along with 30 passing TDs and 24 interceptions. He sports a 79.9 passer rating coming into his fifth season in the NFL.

With the spread moving from less than a field goal to almost a touchdown, the outcome for bettors could ultimately be decided by when their wager was placed. We'll just have to wait and see how things shake out on Monday night.
