If you had to sum this Week 4 Thursday Night Football matchup up in one word, it would probably be misery. Both the Denver Broncos and New York Jets have been decimated and extinguished by both key injuries, and poor coaching. At a combined 0-6 entering the contest at MetLife Stadium, one will be forced into winning a game, while the other might decide to blow it all up and focus on their long-term future.

This should be a close one to predict with the season on the line for both franchises, so let's go to our expert panel for their take.

Broncos vs Jets Picks Week 4

CBS Sports picks are from their panel of experts, numberFire picks are from their NFL game projections, Sporting News picks are from Vinnie Iyer, and betting favorites are from FanDuel Sportsbook's Week 4 NFL odds.

Winner:
CBS Sports: Jets (5), Broncos (2)
numberFire: Broncos
Sporting News: Jets
Betting Favorite: Broncos -1.5

Against the Spread:
CBS Sports: Jets (5), Broncos (2)
Sporting News: Jets

As expected, this one is more or less a toss up. The analytical projections and oddsmakers favor the visiting Broncos, but most analysts think the Jets will come out on top at home as Adam Gase fights to save his job in New York.
