Broncos News: Teddy Bridgewater vs Drew Lock QB Battle Could Take Entire Preseason
By Larry Rupp

The NFL preseason is usually used by coaching staffs to determine which players will make the roster and which will be cut. However, the Denver Broncos have a different plan in mind. They may utilize all three games to determine whether Drew Lock or Teddy Bridgewater will be the starting quarterback.

Broncos News
Of course, this is a storyline that has dominated headlines ever since the Broncos traded for Bridgewater back in April. Head coach Vic Fangio has been adamant that there will be a competition throughout training camp as the two signal-callers are expected to split the first-team snaps 50-50.
Lock still has some upside heading into his third NFL season, but he made some crucial mistakes last season. In fact, he tied for the league lead in interceptions (15) and led the team to a 4-9 record in his 13 starts. The 24-year-old needs to improve on his accuracy and decision making skills.
On the other side, Bridgewater comes to the Broncos as a consistent passer. He owns a career completion percentage of 66.5% and has built a reputation for getting the ball out quickly. The veteran QB is looking to bounce back after leading the Carolina Panthers to a 4-11 record in 2020.
This will be a situation worth keeping an eye on as Broncos training camp gets underway on July 27. The team's first preseason game is set to be played on Saturday, August 14 against the Minnesota Vikings.
Denver has a roster capable of making the playoffs if it can get any kind of above average play from the QB position. For now, the Broncos have odds set at +156 to reach the postseason and odds set at +3000 to win the Super Bowl, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
