The Denver Broncos entered the offseason with two pretty clear needs: quarterback and cornerback. That's not to say there aren't other holes on this roster, but those two position groups stand out as the team's most obvious issues.

Taking a look at what Denver has done in free agency thus far, signing CBs Ronald Darby and Kyle Fuller, it's hard to see the Broncos spending the No. 9 overall pick on another CB now.

In fact, these moves make drafting a first-round QB a lot more likely than it was entering the offseason.

Even the most ardent Drew Lock fans can admit that quarterback is the team's biggest weakness right now. And there have been plenty of rumors suggesting Denver is looking to bring in more help at QB this offseason.

There's not many great alternatives left in free agency, and it's hard to see the Broncos (or any team, for that matter) making a serious run at Deshaun Watson given the extremely troubling off-field issues surrounding him right now.

All of this is certainly pointing toward Denver picking a QB in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Though names like Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson and Justin Fields will almost certainly be off the board by the time Denver is on the clock, someone like Trey Lance or Mac Jones could be the pick at No. 9. And trading up in the draft certainly isn't out of the question, either.

With some improved play at QB in 2021, the Broncos offense could get good in a hurry.
