The Denver Broncos could be without their No. 1 running back in a divisional clash against the Las Vegas Raiders this Sunday.

Denver's latest injury report revealed that veteran RB Melvin Gordon (hip) is questionable for the Week 6 tilt. While he hasn't been ruled out, this news is concerning since he hasn't been able to shake the injury bug this year.

Melvin Gordon Injury Update

This hip injury is a new one for Gordon, who may have suffered it against the Las Vegas Raiders last week. It kept him out of practice on Wednesday and held him as a limited participant Thursday.

Gordon has rushed the ball 60 times in 2021 to the tune of 282 yards and a pair of touchdowns. If he can't play Sunday, rookie RB Javonte Williams will handle the brunt of the load. He hasn't looked out of place in his first year of NFL action, racking up 322 total yards from scrimmage and a TD on 65 touches.

The Broncos have a juicy matchup on the ground, regardless of who is active in their backfield this weekend. The Raiders are allowing the eighth-most rushing yards (134.4) and fourth-most ground scores (1.4) per game this year.

The Broncos are the 4-point favorites over the Raiders ahead of their matchup, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
